Trusses! Big changes in just a few days. The roof is going up and it's looking good! Since January we'd just been sitting around doing....nothing! Now things are a hoppin'. Bob's up every morning at the crack of dawn, out to the lot to begin a days work. It feels good to be doing something constructive again. I'm the "gofer girl"! Whatever he needs, I go and get. I'm learning my way around, so that's good. I'm also the clean up help. It's like cleaning up after kids though...everyday there's new messes to be picked up. I love to be out there with him during the day and watch the progress. It's becoming our home, and it's where we want to be. It's getting to the point where lot's of decisions need to be made. Windows, doors, siding, rock....paint and trim colors....electrical fixtures, plumbing fixtures....the list goes on and on. Building has always been fun for us and this time is the same. Still excited!
So this is how they unload the Trusses. They tip the bed of the truck back....slowly....
a little bit farther....
then once they start to fall of they pull the truck ahead really fast and ....plop! They're on the ground!
And, there you go...we've almost got a roof!
