Septic Tanks in...
and the lumber's been delivered....
The Lumber got delivered on Thursday. It was an exciting day and it was a cold and rainy, rainy day. The most it's rained since we've been here in Utah. The framers were suppose to start on Friday, but because of the rain on Thursday they postponed until Monday. Wouldn't you know it....just our luck. It was pretty disappointing. I've really been anxious to see some walls go up and it's been hard to wait.
Friday Bob started working on the porch cap and Saturday he began framing his shop. It was about 38 degrees outside and I was out there with my long johns, coat, scarf and gloves! We were not going to be deterred! So, we got one wall ready to go up....only it was too heavy for me to help lift, so it had to wait until Monday! Still, it was one wall and it looked beautiful!
Today was a beautiful day! The framers showed up and began work. Bob the Builders two helpers also showed up to pound a few nails and help him out anyway they could!
First wall in the Basement
End of day one...three sections of wall up in the shop.
Bearing walls up in the basement and some floor joists laid.
We're making progress!
