Foundations done....and it's backfilled too! Thursday of last week the foundation guys stripped the forms off the walls they'd poured. On Friday the plumber came and laid the pipes in the basement.
This is going to be an exciting week! Yesterday the excavator began backfilling around the foundation. His trailer that carries his trackhoe had broken down so he brought a little bobcat. Couldn't get much backfilling done yesterday with that...
But today (Tuesday) the trackhoe came and they really got a lot done. The backfilling around the shop and the house are done. They brought in a rockslinger to spray gravel in the basement floor to be ready for the concrete guys to do the floor tomorrow.
Tomorrow they'll dig for the septic system and the floors in the basement and shop will be done. Thursday will be Bob's big day....the lumber drop! He'll have a big grin on his face all day that day! He'll start framing the shop, then Friday we are hoping the framing crew will come in and start framing the house. I'm getting so excited, it's going to be hard to wait for Friday to come. When the framing begins, it all starts to come together. I just can't wait to see this vision we've planned and seen on paper come to life!
