Weekend Fun

This past weekend Bobs sister, Bonnie came into town for a few days. We had such a good time. It was so nice to get to forget about everything and just focus on having fun! Everyone needs to do that once in awhile. On Saturday we drove up to Sunrise on Mt. Rainier. It was nicely mild when we left home. Bob and I didn't think to take a coat, but Bonnie did! She was the smart one, because by the time we got to the lodge at Sunrise it was snowing. Didn't stop us from taking a picture though! Winter seems to be arriving....dang it!

Friday was a busy day. We got up early and ran into Seattle for a little sightseeing. First we stopped at one of MY favorite stores, Seattle Packaging, then it was onto the Market. For the first time ever I actually went into one of the Markets restaurants, sat down and ate lunch! We had a beautiful view of the sound and shared a plate of fish and chips. It was yummy, but not as yummy as my Ivar's. Nothing compares. It's all about the tarter!

We made a few purchases.....fresh baked mini doughnuts...I can still smell them and taste that delicious fried taste! For Bob a giant chocolate chip cookie from our favorite bakery...and for me...it's not a trip to the Market without a beautiful bouquet of flowers. If I lived in downtown I'd buy flowers from the Market every week. I just think I love them!

We drove over to Alki and stopped to look at the "Picture Perfect" view of the Seattle skyline. Very nice...love, love, love it!
On the way home we stopped at the mall and "shopped til we dropped!" We found fabulous sales and couldn't pass anything up! Well, really, I only bought one thing. Bonnie, on the other hand, bought everything I told her to buy! It's so much fun spending other people's money! She just looked so stupendous in everything she tried on. She had no choice but to buy!
Thankful for my sister-in-laws. They are all such fun! It's so nice when they decide to come for a visit. They entertain me!
