Sunday I taught a lesson to my Beehives about "Nutrition and the Word of Wisdom." We had a great time. I brought two baskets. One filled with junk food, the other filled with things good for us to eat. I shared with them my personal story of how I came to the realization that I needed to change my life.... my eating habits, so that I might be around for a long time to enjoy my family and my life. I shared with them a picture of myself about 100 pounds ago. I hadn't looked at one of those pictures for a long time. I was shocked. We had a good discussion about good nutrition, excercise and healthy living. They sampled the food from the "healthy" basket while we talked. I think my picture was a good visual for them to see what "unhealthy" eating can do to a body. After looking at myself "before," I guess I really have come a long ways. I might actually be proud of myself! I really enjoyed preparing this lesson. I love it when a plan really comes together.

I think you are totally amazing. I know a person has the tendency to think "it's no big deal" when they accomplish something. But you have accomplished a great feat, one I've been trying to doing for half a century! And you deserve to be proud of yourself and be a good example!
