SCOUTS HIGH ADVENTURE

Yesterday Bob and I drove over to Lake Roosevelt in Eastern Washington to join the scouts for an evening. Bob needed to drop them off the rest of their food for the last couple days of their trip, and also, bring back things they didn't need anymore. They'd been canoeing since Monday. They were traveling about 14 or so miles a day. Keller Ferry was the place we met up with them at for the night. It was beautiful. Washington really is a beautiful place to live. We seem to forget that. I'd love to go back and spend somemore time. The water always relaxes me.
Just wanted to share a few pictures I took of the boys getting their canoes ready to take off for the day. It was amazing to see how much "stuff" they could cram into their canoes! They seemed to be having a great time. Oh, to still have energy like that!

We stopped at the top of the canyon and took this picture of a very small part of the lake. The little tiny dots you see are the boys!

Brother Ballard, Brother Hedding and Brother Crone were the leaders. They will come home tired! They were working very hard to make sure the boys were having a great "Adventure!" The boys will remember forever. Aren't those of us who have, or have had, scouts thankful for all the hard work their scout leaders put in for them and their scout trips? Oh, and thankful to their wives too, for letting them go!
