"FLAT STANLEY!"
Adi's first grade class asked us to help them learn a little about the Seattle area. They sent "Flat Stanley" to us! Flat Stanley is a story about a little boy who gets flattened by a bulletin board that falls on him while he's sleeping. He becomes only 1/2" thick! He wants to go on a trip, so his family folded him up and mailed him in an envelope to California. He must've really loved the trip, because it sounds like Flat Stanley has been everywhere! I've had a lot of fun with Stanley! Aaron and Dad have helped me make "Stanley's" stay with us really fun! Thank you to them! We've found out many people are familiar with "Flat Stanley!" When Aaron took him to the Mariners, the ushers all said with glee..."Flat Stanley!" When I took him to Ivars, when I was done taking my picture some kids stopped me as I was walking by and asked me what I was doing! After I told them, they proceeded to tell me that some other people had just been by doing the same thing! When I went to the Market the fish guys asked me if they could help me. When I pulled out Flat Stanley they exclaimed..."Flat Stanley", our best friend! Maybe I've had so much fun, because even for all the rain, wind, hail and snow we've had this past week, I love where I live. I'm proud to show this part of the world to anyone who's interested, even if it's only a paper doll named, "Flat Stanley!" Plus I had another good reason to visit the LOCKS!
